All about me!

I am a proud mum to 3 wonderful now teenagers.  Issac is now 18 years old, Noah is 16 and Ava is 11 years old.
They keep me very busy and on my toes with there many interests, and hobbies!
Issac is interested in small engine repair, wood working and any sport!
Noah is our green thumb, Natural Path kinda guy who also loves to cook.  He also just started bee keeping and opened a veggie stand in 2022!
Ava is passionate and excited about any adventure!  She loves the outdoors, crafting, painting, and spending quality time with her 6 nannies.
We also have 2 little brothers Chip and Sage.  Chip is our 3 year old Schnauzer and Cocker Spaniel mix.  He Loves the water and has learned how to surf.  Sage is our 3 Month old Mini Golden Doodle.  Sage loves to play tug of war with chip and long walks investigating all the different smells on our trails behind our home.
Now for me!
Like most Mum's my kids and puppies are my everything!  
Some of my interests are Camping, Gardening, Outdoor advantage, hunting, fishing and my love for baking and cooking!
At the end of the day I enjoy cuddling by a camp fire with my hubby and kids and letting the days worries melt away.
It also helps to have some yummy snacks a.k.a our families favorite grill chezzers and a few cold drinks.

NEW BOOTS feature of the Month!
Melissa Irving-Budd, a Red Seal Plumber and Back Flow Tester from Salisbury, New Brunswick.
After having her second son she decided to apply for the Pre-Employment Plumbing course at the NBCC of Moncton. It was challenging completing the program and taking care of two boys under the age of 3 but being the type of person willing to take on any task or to try anything, she got through it. During her apprenticeship she had the opportunity to compete at the Skills Canada New Brunswick-Compétences Canada N.-B. competition. Even thought it was challenging, she encourages other people to participate as it was a great place to meet other students and teachers from her skilled trade, and to learn new techniques to become more efficient in her trade.
She currently works for Mel's Plumbing in the Moncton area. Her favorite places to work are service locations with families and children. She loves answering all their funny questions and explaining why dinky cars and paw patrols should not be flushed down the toilet! She really enjoys the constant problem-solving aspect of the plumbing trade, “it is such a great feeling when you get to save the day by fixing someone’s plumbing issue”.
While working in plumbing, she has encountered some unpleasant individuals through her career. However, there have been many supportive instructors, classmates, coworkers, and customers as well. “You just have to keep your head up in all situations and keep moving forward”.
She is always proud to say that she is a tradeswoman. For anyone considering taking a trade she recommends trying a job shadowing day and asking lots of questions. “Don’t let anything stop you and don’t let other people tell you what you should and should not do. It is important to take on challenges, but don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it! There are always people in the trades who are reliable and happy to help others”.

La vitrine de ce mois-ci met en vedette Melissa Irving-Budd, plombière sceau rouge et testeuse de refoulement d’eau de Salisbury au Nouveau-Brunswick.
Après avoir eu son deuxième fils, Melissa a décidé de s’inscrire au programme de pré-emploi en Plomberie du NBCC de Moncton. Ça n’a pas toujours été facile de suivre un programme à temps plein et de s’occuper de deux jeunes enfants de moins de trois ans, mais étant le genre de personne prête à entreprendre n’importe quelles tâches ou défis, elle a réussi. Pendant son apprentissage, elle a eu l’occasion de participer à la compétition Compétence Canada Nouveau-Brunswick et elle encourage les gens à y participer puisque c’est un événement formidable pour rencontrer d’autres étudiants et enseignants, et pour apprendre de nouvelles techniques dans son métier et s’améliorer.
Melissa travaille présentement dans la région de Moncton pour la compagnie Mel's plumbing. Elle fait majoritairement du service résidentiel et ce sont ces lieux de travail avec famille et enfants qu’elle préfère. Elle adore répondre à toutes leurs questions amusantes des enfants et leur expliquer pourquoi les petites voitures et Pat’patrouille ne doivent pas être jetées dans les toilettes. L’aspect qu’elle préfère de son métier de plombière est la résolution de problème, « c’est tellement agréable de sauver la journée à un client en l’aidant à réparer leur problème et en le rendant heureux! »
En tant que femme œuvrant dans un métier non-traditionnel, elle a rencontré des personnes désagréables au courant de sa carrière. Cependant, de nombreux enseignants, étudiants, collègues et clients lui ont également apporté du soutient. « C’est important de garder la tête haute dans toutes les situations et continuer d’avancer! »
Melissa est toujours fière de dire qu’elle est une plombière. Pour tous ceux et celles qui envisagent de poursuivre un métier, elle recommande d’essayer une journée d’observation au travail et de poser beaucoup de questions. « Ne laissez rien ni personnes vous arrêter! Il est important de relever des défis et ne craignez pas de demander de l’aide quand vous en avez de besoin. Il y aura toujours des personnes fiables et heureuses de vous aider tout au long de votre carrière. »
